Worker will be cross trained on Operations Assistant/Materials Coordinator job while on assignment and will assist as needed
Position could go longer depending on LOA FTE return date. Nothing guaranteed but for the right person and if budgets allow there could be a possibility of converting.
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, selects, picks and packages medications and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. Performs record keeping functions. Assists in various inventory control processes as needed.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for duration of shift (8-10 hours). Must be able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. for duration of shift. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs unassisted (REQUIRED). during a shift. Reaching and grasping objects at various levels is required. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery.
Work Environment:
Employee regularly works near and around moving machinery (conveyor belts). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be required to wear protective clothing or equipment.

Duties
At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function. National pharmacy technician certification. Eligible for state registration, certification or licensure per state regulations. Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization. Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.
Experience
Minimum (1) year experience required in a customer service position with high volume call center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.
Position Summary
This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.
Education
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
