Job Description
Saint Luke's South Hospital is currently hiring a FULL-TIME Non-CERTIFIED PHARMACY Technician to work within the Retail Pharmacy department.
Shift Details:
The Work:
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist the employee will perform all accountabilities associated with input of prescription details, clarifying and resolving insurance rejections, preparing medication for final verification and distribution, managing inventory, managing records , interacting with customers and/or other professional clinical staff providing customer care.
All medications are checked for accuracy by a pharmacist per the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy prior to leaving the Department of Pharmacy.
Previous retail pharmacy experience is preferred, but is not required
Applicant must be eligible to register or already be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with Kansas Board of Pharmacy (BoP)
Post hire, the employee must obtain national Pharmacy Technician certification distinction via PTCB within 18 months of their original hire date.
