About the Role:
The Pharmacy Technician-Retail-PRN at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, Maryland works under the lead supervision of a Pharmacist to provide services to Pharmacy customers. The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing Pharmaceutical Care.
Responsibilities:
Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
Collect/enter appropriate method of payment from patrons for prescriptions, OTCs and non-pharmaceutical products purchased.
Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs. Answers telephones, responding to questions or requests.
Qualifications:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
- MINIMUM 2 YRS EXPERIENCE AS PHARMACY TECH preferred
- Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technicians required. MUST BE BOTH REGISTERED AND CERTIFIED WITH MARYLAND BOARD OF PHARMACY.
- PTCB preferred or equivalent state program
Pay Range: $20.06 to $30.09 Based On Experience
