What you will accomplish in this role

The Expanse Pharmacy Education Trainer and Go Live Support roles are a workflow and training resource who will support the facility / market during implementation and go live time periods. These positions require a detailed understanding of Expanse functionality, familiarity with facility clinical workflow, and the coordination of care teams that takes place throughout the facility. With support from the Expanse Education Pharmacists and the Expanse Director of Pharmacy Education, this position will be responsible for organizing and leading Expanse training initiatives at the facility, training facility pharmacy team members and ensuring completion of competencies prior to go live. These team members will organize and execute on the change management and facility engagement initiatives as well as other Expanse trainings. At the time of go live, these team members will serve as at the elbow support for the pharmacy staff in the facility. These team members may be called upon to support other implementation tasks as needed to support the overall program goals, including supporting the onboarding of new team members.

Duties may also include collaborating with peers in any combination of the following:

  • Lead pharmacy technician, and assist with pharmacist, end user trainings prior to go-live.
  • Provide pharmacy support and expertise during Expanse implementations.
  • Assist in inputting and resolving Service Central Tickets during go-live support post implementation.
  • Ensure a standardized and consistent approach relating to Expanse pharmacy education delivery.
  • Develop training materials and training delivery to end-users related to Expanse medication management topics, including providing support for other clinical trainers for the project as needed.
  • Participate in communications among all team members to ensure comprehensive understanding of needs, expectations and requirements.
  • Lead/participate in the development of project implementation tools from an education perspective.
  • Participate in initial project orientation, organize the go live support component of implementations, work in close coordination with corporate, division, and facility leadership.
  • Organize and provide clinical training and collaborate with other members of the team to ensure the delivery of training and education materials.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training strategies and materials and recommend changes including modifying the strategy and materials to ensure appropriate incorporation of the changes.
  • Evaluate clinical systems to identify functional gaps and research potential solutions.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Participate with project leadership, business owners, ITG, and other team members in the definition and development of new or additional functionality to meet clinical needs.
  • As needed, support the Clinical Education agenda and post go live Expanse Pharmacy education.
  • Provide pharmacy support and expertise in designated communication groups during Expanse cutover and go-live and support.

Requirements

  • Licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician required
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent required
  • 3+ year(s) of experience in Clinical Implementations, Education Delivery and Instructions, or 5+ year(s) experience in a clinical pharmacy role; Instructional Design preferred
  • 76%+ travel required
  • Ability to travel, work remotely in a home office environment, or work on-site in a facility required for all level roles
