Arizona Pharmacy Technician with CPTB certification
Dates of Coverage needed: Start ASAP to cover leave of absence until December but could be longer depending on return.
Coverage Hours needed: Monday-Friday 7am 2:30pm
No weekend coverage needed
Order Entry System: Cerner, experience not required
Site Automation: Omnicell, experience required
Site Specialty Areas: Behavioral Health
Staff Size: 2 pharmacists, 1 technician
Job responsibilities:
" Refill/Restock Omnicell cabinets
" Maintain accurate inventory counts and rotate stock to prevent expiration.
" Remove expired, recalled, or damaged medications.
" Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventory audits.
" Fill medication cassettes, bins, and patient-specific medication requests.
" Deliver medications to nursing units.
" Process medication returns and credits.
" Ensure accurate medication packaging and labeling before distribution.
" Support monitoring of high-alert medications.
" Assist with medication room inspections.
" Prepare monthly medication area audit documentation.
" Support patient own medication processing according to policy.
" Monitor emergency medication kits and antidote inventory.
2-3 days of training pharmacist available at all times for questions
