Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• T he required availability for this position is rotating shifts (7:00 AM – 9:00 PM range) with rotating weekends (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications
• Enter prescription and billing data into computer systems for processing and reimbursement
• Assist with prepackaging medications for dispensing in compliance with regulations
• Support Pharmacist with final prescription verification and preparation for delivery
• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
• Assist with inventory management including receiving, rotating stock, and tracking expiration dates
• Participate in physical inventory counts as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and clean

Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills for data entry and prescription processing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician or healthcare experience
• Experience with IV preparation or sterile compounding
• Experience in a retail, hospital, or mail-order pharmacy setting
