    JOB SUMMARY

    The Pharmacy Technician assists in the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy at Union Community Care. They work under the direction of the Staff Pharmacist to provide excellent service.

    SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

    • Prepare, deliver, and restock medications
    • Perform order entry
    • Procure drugs
    • Bill prescriptions
    • Assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
    • Carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    High School Diploma or GED

    Current CPR certification

    Certified Pharmacy Technician

    Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy

    Experience working with 340B preferred

    Proficient computer skills

    Effective communications skills; verbal and written

    English proficiency required

    Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    In order to fulfill the requirements of this position, duties 1-7 are considered essential functions of the job.

    ORGANIZATIONAL INVOLVEMENT

    This position is required to participate in mandatory all staff meetings, team meetings and trainings.
