Pharmacy Technician

Summary:

• Work Mode: Remote 80% with some in-person meetings/events
• Location: Atlanta, GA 30339
• Duration: 3 months
• SHIFT: Mon - Fri 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (1 hour unpaid break)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and distribution of drug products.
• Prepare prescription medications using the fulfillment system.
• Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach.
• Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
• Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
• Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma.
• 0 to 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.
• Basic computer skills.
• State Pharmacy Technician License-GA.

Preferred Skills:

• PTCB Certified.
• Exceptional customer service experience.
• Health plan experience preferred.
