How you'll make an impact in this role

• Ensure optimal patient safety by reviewing medication orders, identifying drug-related risks, and recommending evidence-based solutions and formulary alternatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams, providing expert drug information and counseling to facilitate integrated patient care and improve health outcomes.
• Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians, overseeing the preparation and maintenance of medications to maintain workflow efficiency and quality standards.
• Prepare and dispense patient-specific medications with precision to guarantee accurate and timely care delivery.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:
• Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Pharmacy Intern obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate''s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we''re seeking

• IV Certification
• Hospital Experience
