Pharmacy Technician – Fulfillment
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Location: Onsite
Available schedules:
Tuesday–Saturday: 3:30 PM–1:30 AM (50 hours/ week) — Sunday & Monday off
Thursday & Friday: 3:30 PM–1:30 AM (20 hours/ week) — Saturday–Wednesday off
Sunday–Wednesday: 3:30 PM–1:30 AM (40 hours/ week) — Thursday–Saturday off
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician Fulfillment provides order processing support and assists with the preparation and distribution of prescription medications through the fulfillment system. The Technician follows standard operating procedures and performs all duties in accordance with company policies, pharmacy regulations, and HIPAA requirements.

- Process new patient registrations by entering information into the appropriate system.
- Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines.
- Enter refill orders for processing.
- Troubleshoot missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations/SIG codes.
- Resolve data-entry-related exceptions.
- Process prescription exceptions, including third-party insurance rejects.
- Research rejected insurance claims, make necessary corrections, and resubmit claims according to individual plan requirements.
- Assist with inbound and outbound patient and physician calls as needed.
- Run automated pharmacy fulfillment machinery.
- Sort medications and transition inventory through different workflow stages while maintaining quality control.
- Count and fill prescriptions.
- Prepare and affix prescription labels.
- Pack and ship prescription orders.
- Clean and maintain automated machinery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area.
- Provide assistance to pharmacists at the facility and other locations.
- Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0–2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience acceptable.
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration/certification as required by the state of operation.
- Must obtain an active Pharmacy Technician license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain it.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic internet/search engine skills.
- Intermediate keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 25 WPM.
- Ability to perform tasks involving pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible shift.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- At least 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a retail or fulfillment environment.
- Previous experience with pharmacy fulfillment systems.
- Experience processing insurance/third-party rejects.
- Experience with prescription data entry and fulfillment operations.
