QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician or related medical office experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medications commonly used to treat chronic illnesses.
  • Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required (or ability to obtain within 30 days where applicable).

  • Knowledge of pharmacy workflow.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform prescription data entry by reviewing prescription images and entering information into the pharmacy system.
  • Prepare and submit refill requests.
  • Initiate prescription clarification requests when needed.
  • Receive verbal prescription instructions from prescribers in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
  • Complete reorder processing for prescription refills.
  • Assist with accurately dispensing prescriptions.
  • Support prescription shipping activities as needed.
  • Work directly under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, federal, and company requirements.
  • Complete assigned worklists according to department guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
