here!About the Facility – Elko Service Unit
The Elko Service Unit is one of the leaders in quality care for the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service. Many of our Government Performance Results Act indicators were the highest of all of the Phoenix Area , as well as the nation. Due to the considerable distance from our other Service Unit communities, our clinic primarily provides care to members of the Te-Moak Bands. The number of patients registered at our Service Unit is 11,215 representing four colonies; Battle Mountain, Elko, South Fork, and Wells.
Facility Address: 515 Shoshone Circle, Elko, NV 89801Pharmacy Tech - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)- Will provide a broad range of professional assistance related to outpatient services.
- Fill prescription orders
- Reconstitute and compound medication orders based on patient care needs and following Service Unit policies and procedures.
- Fill clinic and ward drug supply orders
- Maintain inventory of stock and I.V. bulk solutions
- Prepackage medication into unit-of-dispensing sizes
- Clinic and ward inspections
- Dispense medication refills
- Other related duties as assigned
- Shall participate in training and competency activities, including:
- Annual safety and infection control
- Other mandatory training as assigned
Pharmacy Technician - REQUIREMENTS- Must possess an active certification from either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or from the National Healthcare Association (NHA) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT).
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- College-level training experience is desirable but not required.
- MUST be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
