Pay Range: $15.00- $23.50 Starting at $19/hr
SUMMARY
Pharmacy Technician assists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. They also manage customer data, provide medication counseling, support pharmacy operations, and contribute to achieving financial and operational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies. • Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, all supervised by the Pharmacist. • Follows directions from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager. • Enters customer data into the computer, keeps accurate records, and completes all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy. • Counsels patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects. • Fulfills general housekeeping duties. • Achieves financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense. • Maintains security of all controlled substances.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. • Possess basic computer skills. • Possess strong communication skills.
