COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• Pay: $22.00/hour

• Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM CST

• Training Schedule: Week 1: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST; Week 2: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM CST

• Occasional Saturdays, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST

• Contract position

• Onsite training for approximately 2–3 months, then hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

ROLE IMPACT

The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists by accurately processing prescription data and preparing medications while ensuring quality, compliance, and patient confidentiality. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient pharmacy operations through precise data entry, prescription processing, inventory support, and exceptional attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform high-volume data entry and accurately prepare, package, label, and process prescription medications.

• Fill and refill prescriptions according to provider orders while maintaining organized documentation and records.

• Process insurance claims, collect payment information, and support prescription workflow.

• Assist with inventory management, supply replenishment, and collaboration with pharmacists and healthcare teams.

• Deliver professional customer service by responding to patient questions and supporting timely issue resolution.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy in good standing (required).

• Current PTCB or NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification in good standing (required).

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

CLINICAL SKILL SET

• Prescription processing and data entry

• Medication preparation, counting, weighing, and labeling

• Insurance claim processing

• Inventory management and supply ordering

• Pharmacy documentation and recordkeeping

• Patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

PREFERRED SKILLS

• At least 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.

• Experience in a retail pharmacy or healthcare environment with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
