About the Role:

We are seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at PACE Pharmacy in PPH. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing excellent customer service to our patients. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication orders. You will play a vital role in the healthcare industry by helping to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program or institutional/retail pharmacy experience.
  • Must currently be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts with an active pharmacy technician license without restrictions from the MA Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must not be listed on the Exclusion Database List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) maintained by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG).
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in other languages
  • Prior experience in long-term care industry

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals accurately and on time.
  • Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information accurately.
  • Perform inventory control, compliance audits and maintains pharmacy records.
  • Communicate with prescribers, pharmacies, support staff and insurers as needed to manage refill orders and fill requests.
  • Field calls from individuals and pharmacies regarding medication refills.
