A Pharmacy Technician must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the patients served on the assigned Clinic. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of medication management, clinic inventory, refill workflows, pharmacy operations and possess the ability to collect data reflective of the patient's status. The Pharmacy Technician is to participate in the development, modification, support and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with OSUMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and high quality patient care. The Pharmacy Technician is expected to handle medication processing, abiding by pharmacy law and assist patient populations and clinics with heavy medication load. The Pharmacy Technician must possess ability to learn new processes, tools and EMR (electronic medical record) workflows. Additional clinical tasks may be assigned.
