Job Description
We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician with IV compounding experience to support a fast-paced pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity for a dependable technician looking for short-term work with consistent hours and competitive pay
Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist with dispensing IV medications
- Compound IV sterile medications following proper procedures
- Clean and maintain the IV room as instructed
- Document environmental data (temperature, pressure, humidity) accurately
- Mixes chemotherapy drugs in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
- Orders pharmacy supplies.
- Establishes inventory processes and record maintenance for drug delivery and dispensing.
- Collaborates with nursing staff on patient treatment schedules.
- Follows all safety and biohazard procedures in the disposal of chemotherapy and medical waste.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
- Prior IV sterile compounding experience required
- At least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Tech
- Ability to follow sterile technique and safety protocols
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
