Pharmacy Technician I - Home Infusion

Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in the Materials area of the Home Infusion pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications and orders and inventory management. The Pharmacy Technician I will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) and supplies accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner.
• Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.
• Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.

Required Qualifications

• less than 1 year pharmacy technician experience, completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program or
• Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program
• Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program
• Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
• 1 year of experience as a pharmacy clerk or like position within a healthcare setting
