• Retail Pharmacy Hours: 8:00 AM–12:00 Midnight, 7 Days a Week

ROLE IMPACT
The Pharmacy Technician supports licensed pharmacists by assisting with prescription preparation, customer service, inventory management, and daily pharmacy operations. This role is essential in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients and families while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist pharmacists with filling, packaging, labeling, and preparing prescription medications
• Greet patients, process prescription drop-offs and pickups, and provide outstanding customer service
• Answer incoming calls, assist with prescription questions, and coordinate refill requests
• Accurately count, package, and prepare medications, including controlled substances
• Maintain perpetual inventory and perform required controlled substance documentation
• Restock counting cells and pharmacy inventory while maintaining a clean, organized workspace
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, medication audits, and performance improvement projects
• Support department education, regulatory compliance, and Standards of Behavior
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation while ensuring patient confidentiality
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of one (1) year of recent Pharmacy Technician experience
• Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration OR Texas Pharmacy Intern License
• Strong math, medical terminology, and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and rotating schedules
