Responsibilities/Job Description:
This position includes patient tracking, processing of patient claims, customer service, issue resolution and/or escalation. When in this position you will be responsible for doing Data Entry, Requesting, and following up on refill request, processing Medicare and transplant claims and working on high level adjudicated claims.
Responsibilities
- Complete intake process for mail order, specialty, transplant, and limited distribution pharmacy patients including new patient enrollment, insurance verification, and medication refill and delivery schedule.
- Under the direction of the pharmacist, receive prescription/orders from patients, process manually or using the appropriate computer system and protocols in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.
- Coordinate ordering, delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.
- Other responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to back up phone coverage, data collection, reporting, process improvement and maintenance of patient education materials.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year healthcare experience including six months as a pharmacy technician
- Pharmacy Technician MN
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of Pharmacy Tech Program
- 2 years pharmacy technician experience in a call center environment
- Pharmacy Technician Natl
Qualifications:
