Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 7/7:30am - 3/3:30pm | Rotating weekend and holiday shifts
Department: Thome PACE | Jackson, MI
This position will require travel for home visits to Jackson, Hillsdale and Lenawee counties.
What You’ll Do:
Join the dedicated team at Thome PACE as a Pharmacy Technician and play a vital role in improving the health, independence, and quality of life of older adults in the community. In this dynamic position, you’ll provide essential pharmaceutical support services to participants both in the clinic and through the Medication Cueing Assistance Program. This unique role combines hands-on work at the PACE center with independent community-based visits to participants’ homes, offering variety, meaningful connections, and the opportunity to serve people where they feel most comfortable. Reliable transportation is required for travel throughout the community. Mileage reimbursement offered!
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient, timely, and accurate delivery and distribution of medications and medication orders.
- Provide medication cueing and administer medications to participants both in the home and at the Thome PACE facility.
- Identify and report medication compliance issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory of stock medications.
- Ensure accurate charting and data entry into the electronic medical record system.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent the transmission of disease during face-to-face interactions or on-site visits.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Current Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license in the State of Michigan, required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, required.
- PTCB certification, desired.
- 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, preferred.
- Experience working with elderly populations, preferred.
- Proficiency in identifying commonly prescribed medications and using multiple forms of medication packaging.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to operate a calculator and perform intermediate math calculations.
- Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
