Retail Pharmacy Technician 

Location:

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No weekends
  • No on-call requirements

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Retail Pharmacy Technician to join a busy Home Infusion Pharmacy team in Lancaster, PA. The Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacists with prescription processing, medication preparation, inventory management, and patient service activities while ensuring compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Active PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification and/or CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) credential required
  • Must be compliant with Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician registration 
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently
  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing activities
  • Manage medication inventory, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
  • Enter and maintain patient and prescription information in pharmacy systems
  • Handle prescription refill requests and insurance billing activities
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, state regulations, and safety standards
  • Support home infusion pharmacy operations and workflow
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records within pharmacy software systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, or Hospital Pharmacy settings
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software and EMR systems
  • Knowledge of insurance processing and prior authorizations
  • Experience handling specialty medications and infusion therapies
