SHIFTS / AVAILABILITY

COMPLIANCE NOTES

• Must be available for 9 consecutive days of training, Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pm, before resume is submitted - non-negotiable
• Facility does not permit agency staff to work more than 40 hours/week unless individually approved
• No requested time off will be approved at this time (can be discussed)
• Valid photo ID required
• Negative PPD results required within the last 12 months
• COVID-19 negative test result desired (not required) prior to starting in-person work - facility provides testing
• Must pass a urine drug screen and background check (candidate/agency provides)
• Must pass an FBI fingerprint background check (facility provides)
• All compliance must be met before candidate can start - no exceptions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inventory management
• Preparing medications for pharmacist final check
• Delivering medications to patient areas
• Conducting medication area inspections
• Providing technical assistance and clerical duties
• Providing guidance to others as needed
• Working under limited supervision with independent judgment within the boundaries allowed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Adhering to standards of professional, legal, and ethical practice and all applicable HHSC and TSBP laws, regulations, policies, and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

• Active registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, in good standing
• Experience in pharmaceutical assistance work
• Must maintain current TSBP license registration on file with the Contract Office at all times while providing services at the facility

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with the Pyxis MedStation System
• Experience with medication room inspections
• Experience with manual and automated medication repackaging
