Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician
Pay: $20.00 per hour – Weekly Pay
Schedule: Full-Time | Evenings, Weekends & Some Holidays Required
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to join a fast-paced pharmacy team. In this role, you will assist pharmacists by accurately preparing prescription medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all prescriptions are properly labeled, scanned, and prepared for final pharmacist verification. This position plays an essential role in ensuring patients receive medications safely and efficiently.
Schedule
Primary shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – approximately 12:30 AM
Every other weekend: 9:00 AM – approximately 5:30 PM
Some holidays may be required
Overtime may be required as needed
Key Responsibilities
Fill daily prescription orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist
Pick, label, scan, and prepare medications for final pharmacist verification
Pull medications from shelving and storage areas for prescription fulfillment
Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy
Notify the pharmacist if medications or products are not scanning properly
Assist in processing returned medications and recycle or dispose of them according to procedures
Pre-pack frequently ordered medications and store appropriately during low-volume periods
Package pharmacy materials and products as required
Maintain a clean and organized workstation and restock supplies as needed
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA compliance
Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Active and clear Georgia Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to work at a moderate pace in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous pharmacy technician experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk intermittently throughout the day
May sit or stand for 7–10 hours per shift
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Finger dexterity to operate pharmacy equipment and systems
Ability to read fine print and maintain visual focus for extended periods
Ability to hear normal voice levels and communicate effectively\
