What You'll Do:
Medication and Preparation Processing:
- Accurately prepare, package, label, and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Ensure medications are processed safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
Prescription Processing:
- Receive and review prescription orders from patients and healthcare providers.
- Verify information and ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate medication supplies.
- Assist with ordering, stocking, and proper storage of medications.
- Safely manage expired or outdated medication disposal procedures.
Patient and Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Answer questions and provide medication-related support under pharmacist supervision.
- Assist patients with prescription refills and insurance-related inquiries.
Pharmacy Operations:
- Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
- Process insurance claims and assist with administrative and clerical responsibilities.
- Support medication packaging, labeling, and distribution activities.
- Assist with medication compounding when applicable and permitted.
Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Follow all safety and quality assurance protocols to support a safe pharmacy environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program preferred.
Certifications:
- Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within two years of licensure.
Experience:
- Previous Pharmacy Technician or healthcare experience preferred, but not required.

Compensation:
Hourly Range -$17.25 - $25.88
