Pharmacy Tech I: Materials Coordinator
Location: Redlands, CA
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 12:00pm-9:00pm, Friday 10:30-7:30pm
Pay Rate: $20 / hour
Position Overview
The Pharmacy Tech I: Materials Coordinator provides administrative and pharmacy technician support in a non-patient-facing role. This position handles high-volume incoming calls, assists callers through the prior authorization process, maintains accurate documentation, and escalates clinical questions to the pharmacist.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities in an administrative support function as a pharmacy technician.
- Handle incoming calls from members, providers, and other callers.
- Provide professional assistance throughout the criteria-based prior authorization process.
- Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of approvals and denials.
- Transfer clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.
- Utilize advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Provide excellent written and verbal customer service.
- Follow applicable state requirements for pharmacy technician registration, certification, or licensure.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy setting.
- Minimum 1 year of high-volume customer service/call center experience; healthcare, social services, or similar experience preferred.
- National pharmacy technician certification required.
- Must be eligible for state registration, certification, or licensure as applicable.
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
