Pharmacy Technician

Pride Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician  to support our client's healthcare facility in Morristown, NJ. 
 
Job Details: 
Schedule:  8 PM – 7 AM . shifts on 7 shifts off Thursday start to the week.
Location:  Morristown, NJ 07960
Job Type: Local contract 
Contract Length:3 Months + possible extension 
Pay Range: $20.00 to $X24.00/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 
 
JOB Responsibilities :

• Accurately filling medication orders, preparing IVs and extemporaneous products, and assisting pharmacists with dispensing.
• Stocking medication areas, automated dispensing machines, carts, trays, kits, and supplies; checking expiration dates and recalls.
• Repackaging and bar-coding medications and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Delivering medications and handling returns through pneumatic tubes, hand delivery, couriers, and nursing stations.
• Managing controlled-substance reconciliation, discrepancy reports, expired medications, and medication recalls.
• Responding professionally to requests from patients, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Troubleshooting equipment and workflow issues and escalating problems when necessary.
• Working collaboratively with pharmacists and coworkers to maintain an efficient, safe, and patient-focused pharmacy workflow.

Required Skills -

• Previous hospital pharmacy experience (2+ years) preferred.
• Previous oncology/infusion centre experience preferred.
• Current active registration with the State of New Jersey Board of Pharmacy.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

Education-

• High School diploma or GED.
