Pharmacy Technician

Narayan Pharmacy is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role supports the pharmacist in the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring accurate prescription processing and excellent service to patients in the local community. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and care in a pharmacy setting.

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
• Accurately measure, package, and label medications
• Process prescription orders and verify patient information for accuracy
• Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies
• Operate pharmacy software systems to process prescriptions and maintain records
• Handle customer interactions at the counter, including processing payments and answering general questions
• Communicate with insurance providers to verify coverage and resolve billing issues
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area
• Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards
• Support the pharmacist with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Pharmacy Technician certification or registration as required by New York state regulations
• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy management systems
