Job description:

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Accurately and efficiently transcribing, processing, and filling medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.


Assist in the dispensing and distribution of medications


Model and deliver exceptional customer service to patients and members of the medical community, cultivating a strong, positive working-relationship on behalf of the pharmacy


Aid the pharmacist in inventory and business supply management


Maintenance of the computer system and pharmacy records


Must be able to perform the essential functions of a technician with or without reasonable accommodation.


Reconciliation of billing from third party payers


Any other duties related to the practice of pharmacy as deemed necessary by the pharmacist


Requirements


High School Diploma/GED.


Current CA Pharmacy Technician Registration.


Knowledge of brand/generics, strength and dosage forms


Ability to read, understand and transcribe pharmaceutical and prescription information


Ability to become proficient in learning the computer pharmacy system during probationary period


Retail experience is preferred
