Pharmacy Technician, Outpatient - Pharmacy

Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawaii, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

The Outpatient Pharmacy department at Hawai'i Pacific Health is committed to ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care and service. We are responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and supplies, as well as providing drug information and education. We strive to ensure our patients remain healthy by providing convenient access to safe and effective medication and offering expert advice. Our department partners with providers and other health care personnel in the hospitals and clinics to create a healthier Hawai'i.

As the Pharmacy Technician, you will fill routine ordesr, compound various IV's, and perform related technicial and clerical duties necessary for the operation of the department. We are looking for someone meticulous with strong organizational and communication skills, attention to quality control and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Current Hawai'i Pharmacy Technician registration.

Preferred Qualifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Previous outpatient pharmacy experience.
