Role Description The Pharmacy Technician (Packer Position) is a full-time, on-site role based in Troy, MI. This role focuses on accurately packing, labeling, and organizing prescriptions and compounded medications for patient pickup and delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying prescription details, preparing medication packaging according to established procedures, maintaining clean and orderly workstations, and supporting inventory management by restocking and rotating products. The Pharmacy Technician will collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure timely, safe dispensing of medications and may assist with basic customer service tasks such as answering questions and directing patients to appropriate staff. This position requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\n

Qualifications

  • \n
  • Knowledge of prescription processing and medication handling, with the ability to follow written and verbal directions accurately.
  • \n
  • Experience or training in pharmacy operations and workflows, ideally in a retail or compounding setting.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with pharmacy technician responsibilities, including collaboration with pharmacists and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • \n
  • Skills in inventory control, including stocking, rotating, and tracking medications and supplies.
  • \n
  • Strong customer service abilities, with a patient-centered approach and professional communication skills.
  • \n
  • High level of attention to detail, organization, and reliability in packing and labeling medications.
  • \n
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in an on-site, team-based environment.
  • \n
  • Preferred: Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by Michigan regulations, prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, and familiarity with compounding practices.
