Job Description: Pharmacy Technician

Position Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Process returned medications and properly recycle or dispose of them per established procedures
• Assist with prepacking frequently ordered medications, including labeling and storage during low-volume periods
• Manually package medications and related materials
• Pick and pull medications from shelving and designated storage areas (e.g., prepack racks)
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy
• Notify the pharmacist of any medication or product that does not scan properly
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring adequate stock of supplies at all times
• Comply with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA guidelines
• Follow departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Active and clear Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License (required)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ponchatoula, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
