What You'll Do
As a Prior Authorization Technician, you will be responsible for
- Reviewing and processing prior authorization requests for medications and treatments.
- Communicating with insurance companies to obtain necessary approvals.
- Documenting all correspondence and updating patient records accordingly.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify or expedite requests when needed.
- Maintaining knowledge of healthcare regulations and insurance policies related to pharmacy and medical approvals.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have
- Experience or background in Pharmacology or related healthcare fields.
- Pharmacy technician license registered in the State of Florida is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with insurance companies and healthcare providers.
- Proficiency in managing electronic health records and insurance systems.
