Pharmacy Technician Retail II

Overview

Assists the clinical pharamcists in providing an accurate and timely medication distribution system.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

License: Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire date, and registration must be in good standing active. National certification with PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians) required. In the case of PTCB or ExCPT renewal, active status must be attained within 30 days of the expiration of the current certification (this provides a 30-day grace period for the employee).

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Proficiency in basic math applications and analyses required.
