Kroger Pharmacy Technician

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position

Desired Qualifications

  • Any previous comparable experience
  • Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk
  • EPRN familiarity
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud

Responsibilities

As a Kroger Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and customers
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Counting, measuring, and preparing specified products using company best practices
  • Completing billing procedures adequately to assure best value to the customer and the company
  • Answering phone and triaging calls and answering inquiries as appropriate
  • Adhering to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines
  • Understanding and following the company guidelines on the operation of the cash register and following all cashier handling policies to prevent loss
  • Providing a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
  • Assisting pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgment
  • Understanding and adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and the company's policies regarding the same
  • Supporting company health and wellness initiatives
  • Putting away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner
  • Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
  • Providing support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
