Summary: This role is not customer facing.
Job description:
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications by accurately counting, measuring, labeling, and packaging compounded and commercial products in accordance with prescription requirements and pharmacy regulations.
- Assemble and package completed prescriptions, ensuring all required ancillary supplies, patient information materials, auxiliary labels, and documentation are included prior to pharmacist verification.
- Support inventory management by stocking medications and supplies, monitoring expiration dates, maintaining proper storage conditions, and reporting low inventory levels to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain quality assurance and compliance standards by performing visual inspections, identifying and reporting discrepancies, and adhering to all state and federal pharmacy regulations, USP guidelines, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow, prioritize prescription fulfillment based on urgency, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe dispensing environment.
Nice to have:
- Compounding pharmacy experience
Requirements:
- Must have (1)+ years as a Pharmacy Technician with dispensing
- Must have Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician License or National CPhT
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background check required
