Description
The Pharmacy Technician Trainee will:
- Be responsible for sterile compounding and automated inventory maintenance (ie., Pyxis).
- Be responsible for performing general technician functions as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
- Demonstrates mathematical aptitude.
- Demonstrates a positive team attitude and a willingness to perform general department functions as assigned by Director of Pharmacy.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- State of Vermont Pharmacy Technician License
- Previous retail pharmacy experience (preferred)
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience (preferred)
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification within twelve (12) months of hire
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (preferred)
- Sterile compounding experience (preferred)
- Demonstrates good oral and written composition skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $19.00 - $24.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
