Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking qualified Pharmacy Technicians to support healthcare services within a federal correctional facility. Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret prescriptions and medication orders from medical staff
• Prepare medications for pharmacist review prior to dispensing
• Assist in medication distribution and pill line operations
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, including tracking expiration dates
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications
• Maintain accurate records using pharmacy computer systems
• Assist in restocking automated dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis)
• Monitor and maintain controlled substance and syringe inventories
• Support patient instruction when appropriate
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace
• Assist with administrative and documentation tasks

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB Certification REQUIRED)
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• Basic computer and data entry skills
