Pharmacy Technician
Location: 12968 Pauline Dr, Shelby Township, MI 48315
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Work Setting: 100% Onsite
Position Overview
The Pharmacy Technician I will work under the supervision of pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner. This role supports a closed-door pharmacy focused on providing medications through manufacturer-sponsored free drug programs, with an emphasis on patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
The position primarily focuses on prescription fulfillment while also supporting inventory management, shipping, and general pharmacy organization.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare prescription orders for pharmacist review.
- Perform prescription data entry by reviewing prescription images and entering information into the pharmacy system.
- Prepare and submit prescription refill requests.
- Initiate clarification requests when additional information is needed.
- Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as permitted by pharmacy regulations.
- Complete reorder processing to ensure timely fulfillment of prescription refills.
- Assist with inventory management and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Support pharmacy shipping operations and ensure scheduled orders are processed and shipped on time.
- Assist with general cleaning, organization, and upkeep of the pharmacy.
- Work with various departments to ensure prescriptions are accurately prepared and dispensed.
- Follow all safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal requirements.
- Complete assigned work according to department guidelines and productivity expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician License.
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Strong work ethic.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to learn new tasks and pharmacy systems quickly.
Preferred:
- Retail pharmacy experience.
- Mail-order pharmacy experience.
- Experience with ScriptMed software.
- Pharmacy inventory management experience.
- Experience with prescription fulfillment.
