Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Floor Technician to join our team. This position is primarily for the AM shift scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with every other weekend shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them per procedure.
• Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them as needed during low volume times.
• Manually package materials and products.
• Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that is not scanning properly.
• Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish stock supplies as needed.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Be available for overtime, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB or NHA.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Experience in a closed-door pharmacy is preferred but not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burr Ridge, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
