Position Title: Pharmacy Technician - Full Time (FT)

Nature of Work
York General is looking for a motivated and driven individual that has a strong level of ownership in their work, likes a flexible schedule, and is currently or willing and able to register with the State of Nebraska as a pharmacy technician and complete certification as a pharmacy technician within 1 year of employment. This position has a wide range of variability including working with Specialty Clinic, Oncology, Emergency, Surgery, Dialysis, Long Term Care, Employee Health, Inpatient, and retail functions.

What You Will Do
- Accurately pick all drugs for patient trays using the medication profile or fill list according to facility standards. Fill prescriptions for employees.
- Prepare and restock nursing unit stock medications, Pyxis medications, and supplies for ED, Surgery, and Specialty Clinic.
- Prepare IV admixtures and compounds with proper aseptic technique in both positive pressure and negative pressure areas. Must understand and complete the cleaning and maintenance of IV rooms.
- Manage pharmacy and floor stock monthly for out dates and yearly for inventory. Manage and understand reverse distributer and processes associated with vendors.
- Perform medication delivery to different areas of the hospital.
What You Need
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Nebraska Driver's License
- Has not been convicted of any drug-related misdemeanor or felony
