Medication Preparation: Fill patient-specific medication orders, package medications, replenish emergency kits, and fulfill floor stock requests with absolute precision.
Cleanroom Excellence: Provide critical sterile compounding support inside our cleanroom environments, strictly following all USP Chapter 797 and USP Chapter 800 safety protocols.
Technology Management: Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Pyxis automated dispensing hardware and software, managing alerts, inventory levels, and device tracking while utilizing other hospital platforms like KitCheck and EPIC.
Administrative Flow: Handle incoming provider inquiries, process medication requests, manage billing functions, print regulatory reports, and track system serial numbers or equipment maintenance.
Emergency Department Care: Conduct detailed medication history interviews for patients pending admission to the Emergency Department, building accurate medication lists to ensure flawless provider reconciliation.
Team Communication: Partner seamlessly with pharmacy IT, vendor support, and the broader healthcare team to resolve system bottlenecks and contribute to ongoing performance improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Growth: Maintain strict regulatory compliance, utilize corporate cost-containment practices, participate in infection control requirements, and actively attend staff meetings and educational in-services.

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Proven hospital pharmacy environment experience is required.
Licensure: Active registration as a Pharmacy Technician in New York State (as defined by Title 8, Article 137-A, Section 6844 of New York’s Education Law and Part 63 of the Commissioner’s Regulations) OR status as a pharmacy student currently enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy.
Credentials: Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certificate OR active enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
Continuing Education: Commitment to maintaining all continuing education (CE) requirements established by your certifying board.
Health Requirements: Must fully comply with hospital health policy mandates, including the mandatory flu vaccine.
Work Type: Per Diem, Direct Hire Permanent Position.
Shift Information: Predictable overnight schedule consisting of Varied Overnights from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Work Setting: 100% On-site within our fast-paced, high-volume hospital pharmacy.
