Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pharmaceutical Handler is responsible for ensuring that all product that enters or leaves the pharmacy does so in an organized, timely and efficient manner and under proper storage and labeling conditions. They will be the lead on all shipping and receiving activities. Responsible for supervising daily operations to ensure that deadlines are adhered to and all product is shipped in accordance with warehouse schedule and pharmacy policies and procedures. Receiving lead functions include making sure that all product is received appropriately and put away in a timely fashion.

What you will do in this role:

  • Ensures proper packaging, labeling and staging of facility orders
  • Coordinates and runs daily WMS operations
  • Supervises daily operations’ schedule to make sure all items are ready and staged in the warehouse on time
  • Processes, picks, packs, and stages all customer orders when needed
  • Checks in weekly order and supervises the put away process
  • Responsible for the let-down process to ensure that sufficient quantities of product are in the pick location
  • Advises inventory analyst of out-of-stock or short dated items upon discovery and rotates stock as necessary
  • Ensures all shipments are labeled correctly
  • Maintains distribution pull list files
  • Conducts routine cycle counts upon request
  • Maintains all material handling equipment and reports any potential problems
  • Performs physical inventory counts during semi-annual inventory

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Technician certification preferred within 2 years of hire Preferred
  • Performing basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconciliation of figures Required
  • 1 year Distribution Clerk experience Required
  • SMART and WMS experience Preferred
