The VISTA with the Petey Greene Program will work on a Philly based team as part of a larger National organization.
The VISTA will focus on strengthening and expanding our volunteer pool of university students and campus organizations.
The VISTA will focus on four main areas:
We recently developed a Guide for PGP Campus Organizations.
The VISTA will lead a supportive and intentional roll out of this guide to the existing PGP Campus Organizations and Leadership Groups and build the volunteer pool at additional universities.
The VISTA will begin to develop work study and internship opportunities at around 4 local universities.
The VISTA will build intentional recruitment pipelines in order to support longer semesters for volunteers and students.
The VISTA will maintain volunteer support at youth partners.
Through these three project areas the VISTA will learn or strengthen public speaking community organizing and project planning skills.
