The VISTA with the Petey Greene Program will work on a Philly based team as part of a larger National organization.
The VISTA will focus on strengthening and expanding our volunteer pool of university students and campus organizations.
The VISTA will focus on four main areas:
- We recently developed a Guide for PGP Campus Organizations.
- The VISTA will lead a supportive and intentional roll out of this guide to the existing PGP Campus Organizations and Leadership Groups and build the volunteer pool at additional universities.
- The VISTA will begin to develop work study and internship opportunities at around 4 local universities.
- The VISTA will build intentional recruitment pipelines in order to support longer semesters for volunteers and students.
- The VISTA will maintain volunteer support at youth partners.
Through these three project areas the VISTA will learn or strengthen public speaking community organizing and project planning skills.
