PHENND Fellows-Youth Bike Program Coordinator

As a VISTA member with the Bicycle Coalition, you will help expand educational programming that teaches safe biking and pedestrian safety to elementary-aged children in Philadelphia.

Youll work with elementary schools in Kensington and Hunting Park along with community partners to build strong relationships and align programming with school and local needs.

Your role will include:

• Designing and engaging safety-focused bike curriculum
• Recruiting and training volunteers to support the programming
• Organizing learn-to-ride events to facilitate programming

Youll assist with creating and implementing evaluation tools to measure the program impact in increasing safety knowledge and skills and lay the groundwork for future expansion to additional schools.
