Philanthropy Associate
Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a relationship-focused and highly organized Donor Relations Coordinator II to support fundraising, donor stewardship, and philanthropic initiatives. This role plays a key part in building and maintaining meaningful relationships with donors, community partners, and key stakeholders while supporting donor engagement activities, fundraising events, executive communications, and stewardship programs.
Responsibilities
Support donor stewardship, cultivation, and engagement initiatives
Coordinate donor meetings, executive briefings, presentations, and correspondence
Develop and prepare donor-facing materials, funding proposals, reports, and recognition pieces
Assist in planning and executing donor appreciation, fundraising, and stewardship events
Coordinate event logistics, invitations, communications, registrations, and follow-up activities
Build and maintain positive relationships with donors, patients, community members, physicians, employees, and other stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop marketing and donor engagement materials
Conduct donor and prospect research to support fundraising initiatives
Track donor activities, maintain records, and support reporting functions
Serve as a liaison between leadership, board members, donors, and community partners
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy when handling donor information and sensitive data
Support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum one year of experience supporting philanthropy, fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit programs
Experience with donor stewardship, cultivation, and relationship management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to coordinate meetings, presentations, donor communications, and special projects
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities independently
Ability to build partnerships and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
