    Position Details

    The Department of Philosophy and Religion in the College of Arts & Letters at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors in Philosophy.

    Responsibilities include:

    1. Create a syllabus and course-related materials in accord with department guidelines.

    2. Teach course according to departmental guidelines.

    3. Provide meeting times outside of class.

    4. Administer a final exam during the University-specified final exam period at the end of the semester.

    5. Complete course grading and submit final grades through the on-line system.

    The successful candidate will have:

    1. A minimum of a Master's Degree or equivalent (e.g., "ABD" status and in good standing in Ph.D. program) in Philosophy with at least 18 credit hours in philosophy.

    2. College teaching experience preferred.

    Applications for part-time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis which may include fall, spring and summer.
