Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician-owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero, and Lehigh Acres. We are seeking a talented full-time Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory located in Cape Coral. Sample of Responsibilities: - Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients
- Collect specimens in the correct container according to COLA requirements
- Ensure the correct recording and labeling of all specimens collected
- Clean, maintain, and stock phlebotomy area, draw stations, and patient restrooms
- Provide coverage at our satellite practice laboratories on an as-needed basis
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Minimum Requirements: - Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
- Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment to perform routine tests
- One year of phlebotomy experience required
- CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
