Phlebotomist - Clinic

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our clients in the medical facility. This is a temporary assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title - Phlebotomist

Job Type: Contract

Location- Irving, TX

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Hours- 40 hrs/ week

Pay - $21 to $23/ hr on W2

Work Setting: On-site (clinic-based)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood specimen collection
• Prepare, process, and transport specimens according to established protocols
• Ensure proper patient identification and labeling of all specimens
• Provide clear patient instructions for specimen collection (e.g., urine samples)
• Educate patients on post-phlebotomy care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Dispose of biohazardous and sharp materials in accordance with safety regulations
• Troubleshoot specimen collection issues and ensure specimen integrity
• Collect specimens for microbiology testing
• Perform waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing
• Follow all standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Current Phlebotomy certification (required)
• Strong knowledge of specimen handling and laboratory procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care and clear communication

Certification:

• Current Phlebotomy certification (required)
