Job Description
This float phlebotomist position provides hands-on experience in outpatient settings, performing high-volume blood draws, specimen processing, and packaging for shipment to a centralized medical testing site. You will support multiple clinic locations, coordinate closely with clinic staff, and ensure accurate, timely collection and handling of specimens while maintaining high standards of patient care and laboratory safety.

Work Environment
This role is based in outpatient clinic settings, with two locations in Warren and one location in Detroit. The schedule follows a part-time, early-morning shift on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. You will work in a combination of stationary and float assignments, traveling between designated clinic sites as needed. At the main site, there are approximately 15 team members onsite, while offsite locations typically have between 0 and 2 colleagues present, and you may work with teams ranging from 0 to 3 people depending on the location. The environment emphasizes high-volume, hands-on phlebotomy, specimen collection, and processing using standard phlebotomy tools and BD Vacutainer systems. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs, supporting a professional and consistent appearance across all locations. The setting offers a collaborative, supportive atmosphere with opportunities to develop skills and receive performance-based raises after six months.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
